ART and
COMMISSIONS

My paintings explore the beauty of nature — expansive skies, shifting light, water, hills, and mountains — revealing the vibrant color and atmosphere found in the landscapes around us.

When creating commissioned work, I partner with collectors to translate meaningful places, memories, or moods into original paintings designed for their space. Working from my home studio, my days are spent creating, parenting, and dreaming up the next adventure in paint.

What Collectors Commission

Many collectors come to me with a place, atmosphere, or feeling they would love to
see translated into a painting. Some of the most common inspirations include:

Meaningful landscapes — a place that holds personal significance, such as a favorite coastline, hiking destination, or place of reflection.

Skies and atmosphere — collectors are often drawn to dramatic skies, golden hour light, and the shifting mood of the horizon.

Coastal and water scenes — expansive ocean views, cliffs, and the movement of water paired with luminous skies.

Paintings designed for a specific space — artwork created to complement the color palette, scale, and energy of a room.

Each commission is a collaboration, allowing us to capture the spirit of a place while creating a piece that feels deeply personal and uniquely yours.

the COMMISSIONS PROCESS

SIZE + SPACE: We begin by determining the best size for your painting and the space. Commissions currently begin at 30" x 40" to allow space for the atmosphere and movement that define my work. If you’re unsure what size would work best, I’m happy to help guide you.

INSPIRATION + DIRECTION : Next, you’ll share any inspiration that helps tell the story of your piece — paintings of mine you’re drawn to, meaningful places, photographs, Pinterest boards, or color palettes. The more insight you share, the better I can capture the feeling and atmosphere you’re looking for.

CONCEPT + SKETCH: From there, I create a few small acrylic thumbnail sketches to explore composition and direction. Once we review the options and align on the vision, the final oil painting begins in the studio. Most commissions take 4–8 weeks to complete.

PRICING + RESERVATION: Commissioned paintings begin at $500, typically priced about 15% above available studio work to account for the collaborative planning process. A 50% deposit reserves your commission and begins the painting, with the remaining balance (plus shipping) due upon completion.

Because I accept a limited number of commissions each season, availability is limited. If you’re considering a custom painting, I encourage you to reach out early to reserve a spot.
