Sandra Bosscher is an award-winning Emotive Impressionist
whose work explores light, memory, and
inner landscapes that live in the space between
places and feelings.
With over a decade of professional experience and a background in design and photography, her practice is rooted in both visual intuition and refined composition, resulting in paintings that feel timeless, atmospheric, and deeply felt.
Working between impressionism and abstraction, Bosscher uses fluid movement and layered color to convey the emotional essence of a space rather than its literal form. Light is central to her work — not only as an illuminating force, but as a carrier of memory, mood, and presence. Through vibrant yet restrained palettes, she blurs the boundaries between memory, dream, and lived experience, allowing landscapes to emerge as emotional states rather than destinations.
Her creative process is immersive and instinctive. Paint is swept, blended, and poured onto the canvas, embracing moments of chaos before guiding the work toward harmony. This intuitive approach invites stillness and reflection, offering viewers a quiet place to pause and connect with
a sense of wonder.
Inspired by her surroundings, travels, and wanderings through nature, Bosscher captures atmospheres that linger long after the moment has passed. Her work has recently received recognition and awards at public art festivals, reflecting its resonance with both audiences and juried selections. She holds a BA in Design from York University/Sheridan College and has been dedicated fully to her art practice since 2008. Specializing in original canvas paintings, her work seeks to create transformative experiences that honor the emotional resonance of light, landscape, and memory.

I am AN ARTIST, A DESIGNER, A WIFE , A MOTHER ,
A BELIEVER , and A LOVE of authenticity
My studio has become an extension of my soul a place where time slows.
Sandra graduated from York University/Sheridan College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Design. This rigorous program grounded her in critical thinking and illustration, building on her early training in painting. After working as a professional photographer for over a decade, she joined an art residency and gradually shifted her focus fully into the visual arts—as an illustrator, muralist, and painter. Through her work, she pushes beyond predictable color palettes, using the paintbrush to explore the emotional atmosphere of spaces.
The studio is a place of release where time slows and she explores color and nature. The walls, the easels, the space, built by her husband's hands and the footsteps run through the room and sit with her as she paints. Her paintings continue their stories in homes and spaces across North America. Her paintings are not descriptions of place, but translations of feeling. Landscapes dissolve into atmospheres, horizons become emotional thresholds, and color carries the weight of lived experience. Subdued palettes hold chromatic tension; bold pigments emerge gently, like memory surfacing through time. When she's not in her studio, she can be found playing with her three children or sitting in a hammock alongside her husband.
